The
Wood River Refinery
is located on the east side of the Mississippi River in Roxana, IL, about 15 miles northeast of St. Louis, MO. It is Phillips 66 largest refinery and operations are run 24 hours per day, seven days per week.
Description:
The Front Line Supervisor (FLS) is accountable to manage maintenance resources for their assigned area to achieve maintenance, safety, environmental and other business goals. The role of the FLS is to set appropriate expectations and drive routine maintenance field activities over their assigned area. They functionally manage the field crafts in their areas and report to the Instrumentation Superintendent. This role is a leader in maintenance execution, safety, environmental, schedule, and cost.
Responsibilities may include:
Responsible for the timely and proper field execution of all non-zone/central maintenance jobs.
Responsible to oversee and supervise the P-66 Pipe and Boiler Fabrication Shops and P-66 and Contract Field Maintenance FLSs.
Assign specific jobs/tasks and sets execution priorities for P-66 and/or Contract FLSs working under his/her direction.
Participate in the daily craft meetings associated with P-66 metals shops and field work assigned to his/her team
Monitor and report on job quality, effectiveness and efficiency of all craft jobs, carrying out regular field follow-up visits to ensure work progress, clear barriers and to support/coach FLSs and craftsman.
Ensure FLSs are capturing and reporting delay codes and hours encountered during daily work execution such that they be entered into the delay code database by the maintenance administrative assistant.
Directly supervise team of FLSs and hold accountable the executing of the daily schedule, adherence to the maintenance process, and compliance to WR safe work practices.
Ensure FLSs manage daily Routine Maintenance activities regarding work assigned.
Ensure FLSs supervise/coordinate and assign tasks to the P-66 & contract crafts for their assigned area of responsibility.
Review daily and weekly maintenance schedule for work assigned in each area of responsibility.
Interface daily with the Routine Maintenance Planning/Scheduling Supervisor and Metals Superintendent to insure that maintenance issues are managed/resolved.
Provide maintenance execution expertise and information to Maintenance Planners & Schedulers.
Contract Coordinator for Team Leak Inc
Communication:
Provide continuous improvement feedback regarding jobs to the planner at job completion
Provide feedback to Maintenance & Operations representatives regarding daily field execution status and progress.
Ensure accurate progress reporting and communication to the Metals Superintendent of deviations to plans, schedules, forecasts and performance.
Safety:
Demonstrate personal commitment to health, safety & environmental compliance with WRR standards
Responsible for your own health/safety as well as health/safety of assigned employees and contractors.
Ensure 100% compliance with WRR safety procedures (Permitting, LOTO, PPE, etc) by P66 and contract crafts you are assigned to supervise.
Conduct a minimum of one Layered Field Safety Audit per month.
Administrative:
Responsible for ensuring FLSs are gathering and reporting performance metrics
Participate in weekly Central/Non-Zone maintenance prioritization meeting.
Participate in the weekly Central Maintenance 6 week look ahead schedule development.
Ensure FLSs publish daily field execution status report to Maintenance Scheduler
Ensure FLSs are responsible for time entry into CATS for any P66 crafts
Ensure FLSs provide copy of work order and job packages to crafts and ensure craft time is reported accurately
Basic/Required:
Legally authorized to work in the United States
2 year technical degree or completion of applicable trade apprenticeship program
1 or more years' experience supervising crafts
5 or more years' experience working in a refinery or similar industrial plant required
5 or more years' experience working in a related craft discipline
Preferred:
5 or more years of Supervisory Experience
Experience with SAP scheduling, time keeping, maintenance planning, functional locations and requisition/reservationtransactions
Knowledge of the proper use of tools and personal protective equipment
Proficient computer skills, MS Office (Word, Excel, Outlook, etc.) SAP, SPI (INtools)
